IBM Now Audits All Software Licence Types – Are You Prepared

From 1 May 2023 IBM requires Clients to report regularly on the use of All Authorised User, Concurrent User, Resource Value Units and all other non PVU and VPC licences.

If you use IBM software you cannot escape from the fact that you have to abide by their terms and conditions.  These include the right for IBM to audit your use of their software products.  IBM mandates the use of specific tools that you must have installed and monitoring your products.  You are also required to ensure these tools are updated every 90 days when IBM releases a new version.

Since May 2023 IBM has been auditing your use of all Software licence types.

Its no longer enough to monitor and report on the Processor Value Unit (PVU) and Virtual Processor Core (VPC) licences.

You are now required to also monitor and report on all other IBM software licence types.  These includes Authorised User, Concurrent User, Resource Value Unit and others.

Targetbase has experience in ensuring our customers are monitoring and reporting on the use of all their software licences.

Our customers have footprints which includes on premise and in cloud in many international locations. We have helped them minimise their risk of software compliance fines across their global footprint.

We are independent and entirely focused on ensuring our customers stay compliant.  This includes overseeing any renewals, true ups, audit and advisory.  We also manage the software licence monitoring and reporting for their environment acting as their watchdog for any over usage, spikes which can often occur inadvertently because of network and security issues.

Our track record speaks for itself.
